GAUDI. THE SAGRADA FAMILIA AND THE ECSTASY

The man, the myth and the city behind the Sagrada Familia Barcelona, 1926. Antoni Gaudí is hit by a tram and dies. But his spirit refuses to go to heaven: his magnum opus, the Sagrada Família, is not finished yet, and he has no plans to leave the world until it is done. Even if he has to wait centuries... This is not just another biography of the Catalan genius and Modernista architect: it is an illustrated journey through Gaudí s life from his own perspective. Having become an eternal spectator, he looks back at the coppersmith s son who discovered volume in the family workshop, at the architecture student and at the reclusive mystic, as well as impatiently observing all the transformations Barcelona undergoes. A fascinanting visual chronicle.
